Safe Internet Use
March 30, 2007

The wide adaptation and usefulness of the Internet has lead businesses to leverage the Internet as a tool to enhance company productivity. Like many other companies, Hawaiian Airlines takes advantage of the high-speed Internet to generate revenue and deliver valuable services to our customers.

With the use of the Internet comes the risk of introducing computer viruses, worms, and other malicious programs that result in system degradation, ultimately affecting service delivery to our customers. Although the IT department has designed the corporate Internet to protect our assets from these risks, you play an important role as the user and must exercise safe Internet habits.

Our Hawaiian Airlines Corporate policy states:

“Employees are strictly prohibited from engaging in any Internet activity that puts the company at risk of a lawsuit or financial loss, or is inappropriate or improper. Violation of this policy will result in discipline up to and including discharge.” Further more, “Internet use is subject to monitoring by the Company. All Internet accesses are captured at the network firewall and can be reviewed at any time.”

To adhere to the corporate policy, please follow these general tips on Internet use:

• Use the Internet for business-related activities

• Visit only trusted business sites

• Do not download unknown programs from the Internet

• Use encryption when transmitting any confidential or personal information via the Internet

• Do not expect any privacy on the Internet

Be responsible and safe when surfing the Internet!
